How is technology connected to our mental health? What role do the arts play in emotional self-regulation? What are people’s lived experiences in the modern workplace?
On Saturday, January 24, 2026, third-year Psychology students presented their thesis projects, addressing topics that go beyond theory and speak directly to our everyday lives. The clinical and applied relevance of their research is key to understanding contemporary human experience.
Key thematic areas of the presentations included:
🌐 Technology & digital life: From the dynamics of online communities on Reddit and the impact of social media on self-esteem, to the challenges of online psychotherapy and gaming.
🎨 Arts & wellbeing: The power of music in emotional regulation and the contribution of the visual arts to mental health.
🚺 Women & health: An important exploration of the experience of menstruation and its connection to psychological wellbeing.
🌿 Well-being & work: Yoga as a support tool for employees in NGOs, addressing burnout in the media sector, and the anxiety experienced by young people at the beginning of their careers.
🤝 Relationships & meaning-making: The impact of family bonds on adult life and the search for meaning (JOMO vs FOMO). While FOMO pushes us toward exhaustion and constant comparison, JOMO emerges as a new mental health skill. Learning to enjoy the present moment, silence notifications, and reconnect with ourselves.
Why does it matter?
Each presentation contributes a small but vital piece to improved therapeutic approaches, healthier work environments, and a more empathetic society.
Warm congratulations to all our students for their outstanding work and scientific rigor.
