The Undergraduate Degree in Tourism and Hospitality is an undergraduate degree programme offered by IST College, with a three-year duration of study and the award of a Bachelor’s degree upon successful completion. Depending on the course of study attended, IST College graduates can join directly the third year of the BBA in Tourism and Hospitality.

The BBA In Tourism And Hospitality programme is addressed to graduates of private and public Institute of Vocational Training, who have successfully completed their two-year programme and are holders of an Institute of Vocational Training diploma, who wish to upgrade their studies in just 1 year, by directly enrolling in the 3rd year of the academic programme, obtaining an internationally recognized Bachelor’s degree and thus enhancing their career prospects, both in Greece and abroad.

The direct enrolment in the 3rd year of studies (top-up) requires the presentation of the Certificate of Vocational Training of a private or public Institute of Vocational Training from a programme of related specialisation, such as :

  • Executive of tourism and hospitality establishments
  • Religious tourism and pilgrimage tours

The BBA In Tourism And Hospitality offers you the opportunity to continue your studies at postgraduate level.

The programme is offered in class at scheduled sessions within our facilities located on 68 Syngrou Avenue (next to the ‘Syngrou – Fix’ Metro station). Through our modern educational platform you also have the opportunity to follow classes live on line (synchronous e-learning) as well as on demand (recorded sessions), at your own time and pace.

A Certificate of Vocational Training (VEK) and an Official Academic Transcript issued by a public or private Greek Institute of Vocational Training in a relevant specialisation.

Teaching is in Greek.

The way the already affordable IST College tuition fees are paid is very flexible. In consultation with IST College financial services, it is possible to pay in instalments or in a lump sum with a corresponding discount.

The qualifications awarded by the higher education institutions partnered with IST may be recognised as professionally equivalent to degrees awarded by Greek Universities, in accordance with the terms and conditions of Greek legislation (Presidential Decree 38/2010), following an application to the Autonomous Department for the Implementation of European Legislation (ATEEN) of the Greek Ministry of Education.

Professional equivalence relates exclusively to the professional use of the qualification, including access to regulated professions, participation in public sector recruitment procedures (e.g. ASEP competitions), and other professional rights. It does not constitute academic recognition of the degree.

If you have previously completed relevant studies (at a Vocational Training Institute (IEK) or a university), these may be recognised through the transfer of academic credit, allowing you to enrol directly in an advanced year of the programme, where applicable.

The recognition of prior learning and advanced entry does not affect your eligibility to apply for professional equivalence recognition by ATEEN (see Council of State, Plenary Decision 178/2023).

IST staff remain available to graduates to provide information and guidance regarding the procedures for obtaining professional equivalence recognition of their qualifications.
