Description

The MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning provides students with the opportunity to acquire advanced knowledge and skills in the rapidly evolving field of artificial intelligence. The programme is designed to offer a comprehensive understanding of the technologies that enable computational systems to learn from data, analyse information, and make decisions.

Throughout their studies, students become familiar with modern techniques in Machine Learning, Data Analysis, and Natural Language Processing, as well as their applications in areas such as automation, robotics, Big Data analytics, and intelligent information systems.

Through laboratory training, the use of contemporary AI tools, and the development of individual and group projects, students gain hands-on experience in designing and developing AI systems to solve real-world problems.

The programme is offered in collaboration with Swansea University, which is ranked 201–250 globally (THE World University Rankings 2025) and 201–250 in Computer Science & Information Systems (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026).

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course introduces students to the fundamental principles of Machine Learning and the techniques that enable computers to learn from data and make decisions.
Students will study supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms, as well as their applications to real-world problems such as pattern recognition, prediction, and data analysis.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course explores the mathematical and computational optimisation techniques used in Artificial Intelligence systems.
Students will learn how to apply optimisation algorithms to solve complex problems in areas such as data analysis, Machine Learning, and decision-making.

COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course focuses on symbolic Artificial Intelligence techniques and Natural Language Processing (NLP).

The programme is delivered in person through scheduled classes at our premises at 68 Syngrou Avenue (next to “Syngrou–Fix” metro station). Students also have the option to attend classes online through our modern learning platform, with access to on-demand recorded lectures, allowing them to study flexibly at their own time and pace.

  • A Bachelor’s degree from a higher education institution (university, technical institute, or equivalent colleges) in Greece or abroad is required.
  • In certain cases, applicants who do not hold a first degree but possess significant professional experience may be considered for admission following an interview.
  • Proof of English language proficiency is also required, such as an IELTS certificate or an equivalent qualification at a comparable level.

The way the already affordable IST College tuition fees are paid is very flexible. In consultation with IST College financial services, it is possible to pay in instalments or in a lump sum with a corresponding discount.

In addition, your Education Advisor will inform you about the financial and social criteria that will secure you a tuition fee subsidy of up to 30%, supported by the IST College Student Support Fund.

The Hellenic National Academic Recognition and Information Center (DOATAP) has recognized Swansea University and included it in the National Registry of Recognized Higher Education Institutions of Foreign Countries. The MSc in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning programme of Swansea University is offered in Greece by IST College following approval granted by the Greek Ministry of Education.

The degree awarded upon successful completion of the programme may be recognized as professionally equivalent to degrees awarded within the Greek higher education system. Recognition is granted by the Autonomous Department for the Implementation of European Legislation (ATEEN) of the Greek Ministry of Education. More information is available at ATEEN – Recognition of Professional Equivalence.

Once recognized as professionally equivalent, the degree may be used professionally in the same way as degrees awarded by Greek universities. Recognition by ATEEN is not academic recognition and does not permit continuation of studies at a Greek Higher Education Institution. However, many of our graduates continue to postgraduate and doctoral studies at universities abroad of their choice.

A large number of IST College graduates who have followed the procedures provided by law have obtained recognition of the professional equivalence of their degree from ATEEN.
