Description
The BA (Hons) International Tourism & Hospitality programme, in collaboration with Ella Resorts, is a three-year undergraduate programme that provides the necessary knowledge, both theoretical and practical, in all areas of Tourism Business Management.
You will delve into tourism and hotel management, finance, and multicultural management. You will study contemporary issues of tourism business, strategic management, international tourism and destination management and acquire specialized knowledge in the wider field of tourism, which is rapidly growing in Greece, increasing the demand for competent and well-trained executives.
Participants in the Programme will have the opportunity for immediate professional rehabilitation at Ella Resorts upon completion of their study programme, through paid internships from the very first semester of study.
The programme is offered in partnership with Wrexham University, which is ranked 1st in student satisfaction in England and Wales.

Structure of the Study Programme
This course aims to introduce you to the nature and range of business forms and functions in order to familiarise you with the modern and ever-changing environment. The aim is to introduce you to some of the fundamentals of business, including organisational structure and the nature of modern business practices. It also provides you with the opportunity to gain a broad understanding of business management, exploring the skills and characteristics of successful managers and leaders, as well as techniques for effectively managing a team.

The Business Communication Skills course aims to recognise the importance of both internal and external communication contexts in building sustainable relationships and delivering value to consumers. You will learn how to communicate effectively in a business and work environment through an understanding of the fundamental skills of oral and written communication.

Course Description
This course aims to help you understand the modern concepts and principles of accounting and economics, financial accounting and financial management to help you determine the most appropriate business decisions and analyze the impact of those decisions on a firm’s performance and financial position. Primary emphasis is placed on acquiring skills to analyze current economic issues with an emphasis on business decision making.

Course Description
This course aims to develop a critical and practical understanding and evaluation of the concepts and principles of data analytics and the ability to apply these concepts to the modern business world. The course aims to recognise the importance and evolution of data analytics and ‘big data’ in modern business. The course aims to outline “big data” and the uses of data analytics in business, including data mining tools and techniques. To describe the various data sources used in business, we will explore the appropriateness of available analytical tools.

The course aims to explore the increasingly important field of food and drink tourism for economic development on a global scale. Thus, you will examine the importance of food and beverages for the tourism experience and the success of destinations associated with food and drink. Further, you will analyze the relationship between tourism and gastronomy and examine the direct and indirect advantages and disadvantages related to the development of gastronomic tourism.

Dissertation
Upon completion of the program, you are required to complete your Dissertation under the guidance of your supervising professor, on a topic of your interest that relates to the subjects covered during the three years of study. The goal is to apply and combine the knowledge and skills acquired during the BA (Hons) International Tourism & Hospitality undergraduate program. The entire process of writing the dissertation will help you expand, support, and enhance learning through identifying a problem related to businesses that requires theoretical research, data collection, and subsequent analysis leading to conclusions and recommendations.

Bachelor’s thesis
After completing the courses of the Program, you are invited to implement your Diplomatic Work (Dissertation) under the guidance of the supervising professor, in the subject that interests you and that is related to the subject matter developed during the three years of studies. The aim is to apply and combine the knowledge and skills gained during your studies on the BA (Hons) International Tourism & Hospitality undergraduate course. The whole process of writing the thesis will help you to extend, support and enhance your learning by identifying a business-related problem that requires theoretical research, data collection and subsequent analysis leading to conclusions and propositions.

The BA (Hons) International Tourism & Hospitality programme is aimed at high school graduates who wish to pursue a career in the world of business, as well as employees or students of other disciplines.
The BA (Hons) International Tourism & Hospitality degree provides you with the to continue your studies at postgraduate level either at a programme offered at IST College or any other university abroad as well as for doctoral degree.
The program is offered with physical presence at our premises – 68 Sygrou Avenue (next to the metro stop “Sygrou – Fix”) but you have the opportunity, through our modern educational platform, to access the courses on demand, at your own time, pace and place.
High School Diploma or Equivalent Title
The duration of studies are 3 academic years / 6 academic semesters. The first three semesters are taught in Greek and the last three semesters in English.
It is important to note that during your three years of study at IST you will have the opportunity to attend English language courses included at your tuition fees, depending on your level, so that by the end of your academic studies you will have improved your knowledge of the language.

Academic requirements for admission of international students to undergraduate or postgraduate programmes are the same as those for home or EU students. Non-EU students may have to make special immigration arrangements for entry (student visa) and residence permit in Greece. IST International Relations Office will assist international students in these procedures. Applications for registration can be submitted any time during the year. Early application is strongly advised, as the number of places is limited according to the collaborating Universities’ regulations.

Funding & Scholarship Programme
To enroll and attend a Bachelor’s programme at IST College you need to pay annual tuition fees.
Method of Payment
The annual tuition fees must be in lump sum or in consultation with IST’s financial services, it is possible to pay in instalments.
In addition, your Education Advisor will inform you of the financial and social criteria that will secure you a tuition fee subsidy of up to 30%, supported by the IST Student Support Fund.

It is important to note that payment of the annual tuition fees, entitles you to enjoy a number of privileges and services at no extra charge such as:
- Use of both the IST’s and Wrexham University learning resources.
- Participation in the activities of the orientation week
- Participation in the Examinations.
- Supervision of coursework.
- Use of the IST’s Modern Education Platform as well as the Wrexham University learning environment.
- Access to the Computer Labs.
- Issu of the corresponding certificates of studies, grades and certificates from both IST and the partner university.
- Participation in seminars, events and conferences organised and offered by IST.
Please note that tuition fees do not include any expenses for the purchase of books, photocopies and your participation in excursions or entertainment evets as well as the graduation ceremony at both IST and the partner university.
Should you fail a year or semester module and need to re – register, you will have to pay additional tuition fees for each module.
The BA (Hons) International Tourism & Hospitality degree is awarded by Wrexham University (UK) to the graduates that have attended IST College and enjoy recognition throughout the world, offering the graduates unlimited possibilities for professional employment and further academic development.
The programme is offered in Greece by IST College in partnership with Wrexham University (UK) following approval from the Ministry of Education. The qualification awarded on successful completion of the programme of study can be recognised as professionally equivalent to qualifications awarded within the Greek higher education system. Recognition is granted by the Autonomous Department for the Implementation of European Legislation (ATEEN) of the Ministry of Education. (https://www.minedu.gov.gr/ateen-anagnorisi-epaggelmatikis-isodynamias). Once recognised as professionally equivalent, this qualification is used professionally in the same way as the qualifications awarded by Greek public universities and higher education institutions. The recognition of the ATEEN is not academic and does not allow the continuation of studies in a Greek public university. However, our graduates continue for postgraduate and doctoral studies at prestigious universities of their choice abroad or at a postgraduate programme offered at IST College.
A large number of College graduates who have followed the procedures prescribed by Greek law, have received recognition of professional equivalence of their degree by the ATEEN of the Greek Ministry of Education.
