Description

Web Design & Development remains an extremely interesting specialty in terms of subject matter, but also in terms of professional rehabilitation. It is an industry that is constantly evolving along with the development of technology and therefore continuous training is required even for professionals in the field. This need is the reason for the creation of this program, which through learning and practicing the tools offers you all the knowledge and skills needed to be able to cope successfully in this professional field.

Objectives of the programme

The main objective of the seminar is to offer participants the opportunity to come into direct contact with professionals in the industry and acquire practical skills in technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript. Each student will have the opportunity to create an individual custom website, which will provide valuable experience and enhance their professional profile, facilitating their job search in the field of Front End Development, both in Greece and abroad. In this way, participants will be able to quickly reach a level that will allow them to confidently apply for jobs in the Web Development industry.

Entry Requirements

The seminar is addressed to graduates of high school, IEK, TEI or TEI, who want to acquire Front End Developer knowledge and learn about the whole process behind web development.

Through the seminar, you will be informed about all the latest trends and requirements of the industry, as well as the best practices that you can follow yourself to maximize your efficiency and your chances of being employed in the industry.

Lectures

Structure

  • HTML: the main markup language for web pages. HTML is a set of rules for configuring the appearance and content of a web page.
  • CSS: to control the appearance of a document written in HTML, to control the look & style of a web page. For a beautiful and well-designed website the use of CSS is considered essential.
  • JavaScript: is meant to generate dynamic content and execute client-side code in web pages.
  • Digital marketing for Front End Developers: optimal techniques during the construction of a website to help promote and advertise it (SEO & SEM).
  • User Interface & User Experience: design (UI) is about the visual and interactive interface while UX design focuses on the overall experience and user needs. UX is more related to user experience and emotions, UI is more about appearance and design.
  • GitHub: It is a tool which is used for storing code, as well as for storing changes made to a project, and for sharing the project in question with other people. An essential tool for any IT project professional.
  • Workshop: The aim of the seminar is to implement an individual project where through the knowledge you will receive and the guidance of the facilitator you will be able to have a sample of your work for the first technical interviews and your entry into the job market.
