Description

Looking to advance your studies and earn an internationally recognised Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science?

The BSc (Hons) Computer Science is a three-year undergraduate programme designed to provide students with a strong foundation of theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The programme equips students with the technical expertise required to design, develop, and manage modern computing systems and software applications.

Throughout the programme, you will develop the ability to select appropriate tools and techniques for the analysis, design, and implementation of computing systems. You will also gain hands-on experience with modern software development methodologies, while learning to apply industry best practices in software engineering and project management. Particular emphasis is placed on problem-solving, logical reasoning, systems analysis, and optimisation.

You will gain an understanding of the impact information systems have on organisations and the individuals within them, while exploring the wide range of business information systems and their applications across different industries.

The programme also provides comprehensive knowledge of computer networks and computing technologies, alongside key principles of information systems security. You will develop an understanding of data protection, cybersecurity, and techniques for preventing malicious attacks on digital infrastructures.

In addition, you will explore emerging fields such as Machine Learning and Data Analytics, combining academic theory with practical application through projects and contemporary technological approaches.

The programme aims to produce graduates with strong technical, analytical, and collaborative skills who are capable of designing, developing, and implementing innovative, secure, and sustainable digital solutions that meet the evolving demands of today’s global technology industry.

Advanced Entry for Vocational Education Graduates

If you are a graduate of a recognised Vocational Education Institute (IEK), you may be eligible—depending on your previous programme of study—for direct entry into the third year of the BSc (Hons) Computer Science programme, allowing you to complete your studies and earn a Bachelor’s degree in a shorter period.

Objectives of the Programme

  • Build a strong foundation in Computer Science. Gain comprehensive knowledge of the core principles of computing, including programming languages, web development, algorithms, databases, computer architecture, and operating systems.
  • Develop industry-relevant technical skills. Enhance your programming, data management, and software development skills by working with modern technologies and Agile software development methodologies. You will learn how to design, develop, and implement solutions for today’s technology-driven world.
