The Bachelor in Management (BeM) Sports Business is a three-year undergraduate programme that combines Sport, Management and Sports Business, providing students with the knowledge and skills required to understand how the sports industry operates and respond to its evolving demands.

By connecting theory with practical application in Sport and Business Management, students develop strong business and management knowledge, alongside essential professional and personal skills. This well-rounded foundation prepares them for a variety of professional roles and enables them to develop their careers in a dynamic, international and constantly evolving sports and business environment.

Objective of the programme

Sports management is an interdisciplinary field that combines elements of business administration, marketing, law and finance, all tailored to the context of the sports industry. IST College’s Bachelor in Management (BeM) Sports Business programme aims to prepare graduates for a wide range of roles, from sports marketing and event management to facility operations and sports analytics. Stories of graduates who have moved into roles with major sports teams, global sportswear companies and international sporting events highlight the versatility of the degree. For example, imagine going from a classroom discussion about sports marketing strategies to leading an advertising campaign for a major sports company.

Sport is a universal language that transcends borders, cultures and languages. Bachelor in (BeM) Sports Business  at IST College aims not only to provide knowledge of the global sports industry, but also to foster an understanding of how sport can be used as a tool for international development, diplomacy and cultural exchange. Through the curriculum, international internships and case studies at global sporting events such as the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup, students gain a global perspective. This international perspective is invaluable in today’s interconnected world, where sports serve as a powerful platform for global engagement and social change.

Our aim is that Bachelor in Management (BeM) Sports Business degree at IST College is not only about understanding the sports industry, but also about mastering the business skills that are critical for success in any field. From strategic planning and financial analysis to leadership and team management, the curriculum is designed to build a solid business foundation. These skills are enhanced through hands-on experiences such as managing sports events, negotiating sponsorships, developing business plans for sports startups, etc. Graduates of the IST College programme gain experiences that have not only prepared them for a career in sports, but they have also made valuable assets in other business areas.

Degrees awarded by the higher education institutions partnered with IST College may be recognised as professionally equivalent to degrees awarded by Greek higher education institutions, in accordance with the applicable Greek legislation and following the prescribed recognition procedure through the Department for the Implementation of European Legislation (ATEEN) of the Greek Ministry of Education.

Once professional equivalence has been granted, the degree may be used for professional purposes in Greece under the same conditions as degrees awarded by Greek universities. It should be noted that ATEEN recognition is a form of professional recognition rather than academic recognition and, therefore, does not provide access to further studies at Greek public universities. However, many of our graduates continue their postgraduate or doctoral studies at universities abroad, subject to the admission requirements of their chosen institution.

A significant number of IST College graduates who have completed the required legal procedures have successfully obtained professional equivalence recognition of their degrees through ATEEN.

The programme is delivered on site, through scheduled classes at our premises at 68 Syngrou Avenue (next to Syngrou–Fix Metro Station).

At the same time, through our modern learning platform, students have the option to attend classes online (live) and access them on demand (recorded sessions), providing additional support throughout the learning process.

High School Diploma or Equivalent Qualification

The payment method for IST College’s already affordable tuition fees is particularly flexible. In consultation with IST College’s financial services, it is possible to make a partial or one-time payment with a corresponding discount.

Also, the Education Advisor will inform you of the financial and social criteria that will secure you a tuition subsidy of up to 30%, supported by the IST College Student Welfare Fund.
